Clara Cleech

The poorest juggler ever seen
was clumsy Clara Cleech,
who juggled a bean, a nectarine,

a pumpkin, and a peach.

She juggled a stone, a slide trombone,
a celery stalk, a stick,
a seeded roll, a salad bowl,
a bagel, a boot, a brick,

With relative ease she juggles a cheese,
she juggled a lock, a lime,
yes, Clara juggled all of these
…but just one at a time.

I wonder Why Dad is so Thoroughly mad

I wonder why Dad is so thoroughly mad,
I can’t understand it at all,
unless it’s the bee still afloat in his tea
or his underwear, pinned to the wall.

Perhaps it’s the dye on his favorite tie,
or the mousetrap that snapped in his shoe,
or the pipefull of gum that he found with his thumb,
or the toilet, sealed tightly with glue.

It can’t be the bread crumbled up in his bed,
or the slugs someone left in the hall,
I wonder why Dad is so thoroughly mad,
I can’t understand it at all.

Where were you girls?
Inspired By:

By Diana Bloom

 Where were you girls?
My dad would say
 when mom and I
Went out to play

 We went downtown
And had a slice
Of chocolate covered
Lemon ice

 We hopped into
Our smelly car
And bolted off
To places far

 Away from home
We went to see
A giant dog
that looked like me

 He had large ears
And yellow eyes
That looked to me
Like apple pies

 We flew above
Our little town
Almost forgetting
To come down

We finally did
So now where home
To greet my father
all alone

The very unintelligent elephantBy Diana Bloom

The Big and ft elephant
wanted to got to school
But he noticed he wasn't very smart
and didn't no what to do

To try to improve this matter
He ran around the town
Running up and down the town
to see who he could flatter

Once he found this person
He gathered some information
But then he discovered this person
wasn't who he could flatter

On this wonderful trip
he found
An extreamly wise man
Who told him to look at who he surrounds

He walked around the city
looking for a sound
This sound truned ou tto come from
a very large building

This building happend to be a new library
that he decided to enter
when he finally entered
he imdiatly began to read

He read through a billion books
in just a mnater of 2 dyas
there to find a librarian
where he should shrae his phrase

He toold her
what he had learned
And she as very facinated
then told him,

"Off to school you go!"
