Lullaby
Eve Merriam

Purple,
Purple,
Twilight
Sky light.

Purple as a king's cape
Purple as a grape.

Purple for the evening
When daylight is leaving.

Soft and purry,
Gentle and furry,
Velvet evening-time.

Purple,
Purple.
Sky light
Goodbye light.

Dusky
Musky
Into night.

Sun Light
Jacobi Smith

Orange,
Orange,
Sun light
Fire light.

Orange as  a August mid day sun
Orange as a father and son having fun.

Orange for the day
When day light is coming.

Bright and flamey,
New and vibrant,
Orange morning sun.

Orange,
Orange,
Skylight
Hello light.

Bright
Light
Into day.
Catch A Little Rhyme
Eve Merriam
Once upon a time
I caught a little rhyme

I set it on the floor
but it ran right out the door

I chased it on my bicycle
but it melted to an icicle

I scooped it up in my hat
but it turned into a cat

I caught it by the tail
but it stretched into a whale

I followed it in a boat
but it changed into a goat

When I fed it tin and paper
it became a tall skyscraper

Then it grew into a kite
and flew far out of sight...

I Lost A Little Cold
Jacob Smith

I sneezed it out my nose,
But it eased out the hose.

I followed it on foot
But it turned into a newt.

I caught it by the horn
But it turned into corn.

I tried to eat the corn,
But it turned into a ram with horns.

I grabbed it by the tail,
But it turned in to a quail.

That flew away,
Like the Mail.
