Dazzling Dances and DolphinsBy: Sona Shah
Jumping, laughing, smiling, As the graceful bodies move swiftly The dazzling bodies shimmer through the water.
The dancers glitter on the stage, The choreographer smiling joyously, At the sight of the wonderful performance.
The calls for help When a shark is about to attack Penetrate throughout the water, As other dolphins gather around And save the poor dolphin.
The jingling of the jewelry From jump to jump, The shouts of happiness With each step taken.
As the dolphins do magnificent jumps and stunts, As dolphins glide above the water, You hear the beautiful dives Going back under the water.
Gladly playing with the others, Curving your lips upwards Smiling only through the performance, But having endless fun. |

A Joyous TimeBy: Sona Shah
Six-o-clock am And I am awake Down the stairs, Something awaits me
The shiny wrapping paper Glittering with the lights Like a star in the night Waiting to tear the paper And look to see What has been hiding under it.
The smell of fresh baked cookies Fills the air, So I grab one. The softness and warmth Finds its way into my stomach. And to top it off, The apple cider trickles Down my throat, and Fills my body with warmth.
The happy and cheerful noise Of my family laughing and playing, With the music softly playing: “I’m Dreaming of a white Christmas”
You run to the fireplace, Where your stocking hangs. A small, brown and furry object Sticks slightly out of the top Trying to guess what it is.
Never stopping for a moment: Only eating And unwrapping presents And laughing While my mind fills with cheerful thoughts.
