The Christmas Tree

Blythe Friedman

I grow and grow

Many years

Chopped down

Up for sale

Someone takes me home

With bungee cords.

Get dressed up

Ornaments, lights tinsel, and a skirt

Few weeks later

Brown needles

Taken to bonfire

Thrown in

A huge fireball

And now I am gone

Remember Me Forever

 Blythe Friedman

Hello world this is me

This how I will be

 Forever

 Even when I die

 My spirit will last

Forever

 You shall hear my voice

 Floating through the air, wind

Forever

When you walk through the forest you will

 See my spirit floating

 Through the trees

 Forever

When you look into the fire you will see my face

Forever

So forever and forever

 Remember me forever.
