This artifact from the Crystal Palace is a stove, and looks to be made of metal and brass. It is very small and box-shaped on the bottom with a small drawer (I’m assuming that this is where you put in the coal), and gets larger as it goes up. I’m thinking it was made during the time of the French Revolution, because the design looks to be from a while ago. The top has a very thin piece of metal and a medallion of some sort on the top. I’m not sure what the purpose of this is, but I am thinking that this might be from a Victorian household.

It is probably from right here in England, but it might be from another country in Europe. If it is not from England, I think it might be from France or Spain. They too make ornate objects of this sort.

It is very ornate and well made, so I am thinking it would be worth anywhere from $50-$400! This would be a grand item to have in any house.
