France is a major participant in The Great Exhibition. They are sending 1,760 exhibits to The Crystal Palace. The Great Exhibition will have about 14,000 exhibits. The French are sending wine, furniture, camp baggage, and many other objects. These exhibits show the comfort and luxury that has come from The Industrial Revolution. The French are sending many glasses. Some of the glass is cut crystal. All of the glass is beautifully colored and decorated. The glasses are of the newest style, started after The French Revolution. Some of the wine will be available to drink and some will just be on display. The French will greatly improve the exhibition with their stunning displays. The French held their own exhibition a few years earlier. This experience allows them to make their wonderful exhibits.
